HATHA YOGA I/II

Hatha Yoga is a popular form of physical activity that includes the practice of pranayama (breathing exercises) and asanas (yoga postures).

These practices help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

A regular Yoga practice provides many therapeutic benefits as well as improved strength, flexibility, balance and reduced stress.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa is a dynamic practice derived from Hatha and Asthanga yoga traditions. A typical class would include a comprehensive series of movements and postures in conjunction with breathwork, culminating with some more challenging, long-held postures, before finishing with pranayama and relaxation.

Its benefits include increased flexibility, mental focus, cardiovascular conditioning, calorie-burn and muscle development.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.

Its benefits include enhanced flexibility, deep relaxation, balancing the nervous system and boosting the immune system, while also enhancing mood.

YOGA FOR RUNNERS

In our ever-popular Yoga 4 Runners class, running since 2014, we use a combination of Natural Movement Techniques, Foam Rolling and Yoga exercises to help mobility, elasticity and flexibility, allowing tired and overworked muscles to recover, while strengthening ligament, tendon and joint structure. 

In our class we also focus on Breath and Meditation practices to give a well-rounded Mind & Body experience.

TURNING THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

Learn how to overcome fears and anxieties associated with inversions with clear, step-by-step instruction, focusing on correct alignment, form and function. We’ll focus on introductory postures using resistance bands to build into more challenging postures such as handstands and supported shoulders -stands.
